A four-year-old has officially announced to the world that he's a boy by hosting his own gender reveal at the Vancouver Pride Parade in Canada.
Alaina Bourrel, 27, revealed her son Charlie Danger Lloyd was born female but expressed different needs, wants, and feelings from a very young age.

"Charlie started expressing his gender needs just after his second birthday when he started gaining more vocabulary," she said.
"In the beginning, he would tell us he was 'growing to look just like daddy' and 'I'm a boy' all day every day.
"He wasn't your typical little girl, he would play with other boys and the parents would say he was more of a boy than their own children."
But now it is official: Charlie is a boy.

Video footage of the Vancouver Pride Parade on social media captured the moment when Charlie popped his confetti cannon filled with blue smoke to celebrate his transition.
"Once they closed the road, Charlie strutted out with [his grandmother] and they faced the sidelines and after a short struggle, the cannon exploded with blue smoke and biodegradable confetti," the boy’s mum said.
"Charlie jumped with joy as the crowd cheered him on.

"He couldn't believe the love and support he was shown from the bystanders."
At the end of the clip, a clearly thrilled Charlie can be seen running into his mother's arms.
Bourrel revealed the idea for a gender reveal party was inspired by her own gender reveal bash before Charlie was born.
In a strange sort of foreshadowing, the 27-year-old revealed that her party didn’t go according to plan when the pink smoke inside the confetti cannon didn't come out properly.

"When we told him the story, he asked for a re-do with his granny at the Vancouver Pride Parade, so we bought him a smoke cannon and tucked it away for this day,' she said.
After Charlie decided to live life officially as a boy and changed his hair and wardrobe, his mum said his confidence went through the roof.
The four-year-old has a supportive group of family and friends as he makes his social transition, however his mum has copped it online for supporting her child's decision.

"I've been called a paedophile, groomer, and rapist when I have only shown the utmost support to my children,” she revealed.
Charlie's mum said raising a trans child is no different to raising any other kid and praised the support from those in their inner circle.
"We are so lucky to have the circle that we do," she said.
