The price of your takeaway fried chicken could double in price due to shortages of oil and grain.
The shortages could also mean that takeaway venues will start serving up smaller portions.
Sunflower and wheat shortages have been caused by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, meaning the prices will soar in the coming weeks.

Andrew Withers, the boss of Southern Fried Chicken, told the Sun some venues had already had to put their prices up and that it could lead to takeaway delivery fried chicken prices doubling.
He added: “We haven’t done it, but I’ve seen competitors reducing meal sizes.”
Talking about the problem, Rachel Dobson from catering and hospitality suppliers Lynx Purchasing, told the Sun: “The cost of feeding chickens is one of the biggest factors in the price of poultry.

“The loss of grain for feed from Ukraine and Russia will have a significant impact on prices.
“In addition, Ukraine and neighbouring countries — such as Poland — facing disruption due to the invasion, are major processors of poultry, producing products for eat-in and takeaway menus.”
She added: “Ukraine supplies more than 40 percent of the world’s sunflower oil, used in hundreds of products, including batter on your fish and the oil the chips are fried in.”
The threat of a price hike comes after Tesco announced it would be adding 50p onto the cost of its meal deal for non-Clubcard holders.

The deal, which offers a main, snack and a drink for £3, is a British lunchtime staple, but the cost rose to £3.50 for those who don’t have a Clubcard.
Fortunately, Clubcard holders can still get the offer for £3 and will bag themselves some points on their card, too.
Tesco chief customer officer Alessandra Bellini said: "Adding our ever-popular lunchtime meal deal to Clubcard Prices is the latest way we’re rewarding our 20 million Clubcard members with exclusive deals on thousands of products.
