Man Who Cuts Overgrown Gardens For Free Accidentally Stumbles Across Crime Scene

An Oklahoma lawn care expert has shared a video of the moment he was mowing the lawn of what he thought was an empty home before cops arrive

An Oklahoma lawn care expert has shared a video of the intense moment he was mowing the lawn of what he thought was an empty house before cops swooped in.

Kevin Hansen, who goes by the name Lawn Care Juggernaut on social media, was kindly cutting a stranger’s grass when the situation took a sinister turn.

Unbeknown to him, Hansen was about to stumble upon a crime scene, which will no doubt stay with him for years to come.

Beginning his video, Hansen – who sports a busy beard and backwards baseball cap – explains: “On this property, I’m coming in, trimming up all the bushes.”

Hansen decides to scrub up the property’s garden after noticing how overgrown it is, but receives no answer when he knocks on the door to speak to the home’s owner.

He explains: “I noticed the grass was overgrown and so I knocked on the door. There was no answer, so I knocked on the neighbour’s door to see if I could find anything out about it, because it looked abandoned.

“No answer. Then a car pulls up to the right and it ended up being the resident over there. I talked to him, he said ‘well, I think that house was foreclosed on, I haven’t seen anyone coming and going for a while’. So I thought, whatever, I’ll clean it up for the neighbours.”

At this point, Hansen notes that the property’s windows have been left open, but doesn’t read too much into it.

About 14 minutes into the 51-minute video, Hansen’s wife arrives to help him mow the home’s back garden.

The pair joke around in the sunshine, with Hansen poking fun at his wife for showing up in flipflops. But once she leaves, he tells the camera: “I didn’t want to say this in front of my wife, but I just put two and two together.

“All the windows were open on the house when we stopped here. This [house] isn’t empty because it got foreclosed on.”

He goes on: “I was smelling a strong smell of death over here. The windows were open, there’s flies in the house, I peeked in when I was setting the camera up. I’ll be honest, I’m cutting [the grass] and then getting out of here.”

Returning to the front of the property, Hansen adds: “I assume somebody knows because the windows are all open, but I will notify the authorities and say ‘hey I was at this property doing some mowing, I smelt the strong smell of death in the house, you might just want to do a check’.”

He then calls the cops, who arrive a short time later and enter the home to carry out a wellness check.

Once they step back outside, Hansen is seen speaking to the officers before telling viewers: “So someone is deceased in there. They asked me to hang out for a bit, but I don’t think I’m going to finish this one up guys.”

He then reveals the property has become a crime scene, so fills out a witness statement, packs up his car and leaves.

Hansen explains: “I’m gunna fill out this witness statement real quick and then I’m gonna head out. I’ve never had anything like this happen.

“At this point all I know is that the property is a crime scene. Because it is a crime scene, I’m gonna load up and head out.

"They’ve got my information if they need it. My heart goes out to the family and loved ones.”
