The hairstylist responsible for Demi Moore’s buzzcut in GI Jane is confused about Jada Pinkett-Smith’s reaction to the joke which Chris Rock told at the Oscars.
Will Smith is the source of controversy since he approached the comedian on the stage of the Dolby Theatre in LA during Rock’s presentation and slapped him across the face.
The altercation happened after Rock, who was presenting an Academy Award at the time, made a quip about Pinkett Smith’s shaven head: “Jada, I love you. GI Jane 2, can’t wait to see it."

At this point, Pinkett Smith looked annoyed at the joke and rolled her eyes - having been open about suffering from alopecia areata, an autoimmune disease which causes hair loss.
Enzo Angileri, the stylist behind Moore’s hair in the 1997 war movie, told Page Six that the joke didn’t warrant such a strong reaction from the pair.
Angileri told the publication: “I thought she looked amazing, so regal. I thought it was a beauty choice...I have never seen her look more beautiful.”

“It’s nothing to cause such a rolling of the eyes in my opinion, that stimulated her husband to act that way,” he added.
The hair mogul didn’t realise that Pinkett Smith suffered from alopecia prior to the events at the Oscars, but still did not agree with the way that Will reacted, saying that his actions were “completely unacceptable”.
He added: “Don’t we try to teach our kids not to raise their hands?”

Smith has since issued an apology to the Academy and Rock in a statement on Instagram.
“Violence in all of its forms is poisonous and destructive. My behaviour at last night’s Academy Awards was unacceptable and inexcusable.”
“Jokes at my expense are a part of the job, but a joke about Jada’s medical condition was too much for me to bear and I reacted emotionally,” he continued.
“There is no place for violence in a world of love and kindness.”
