One unlucky grandad was left confused when his grandkids took him to a diner where the staff are as rude to customers as possible – on purpose.
Telling the 82-year-old they were taking him to a normal restaurant, his grandkids decided to leave out the crucial detail – that the staff at Karen's Diner in Sheffield would be very rude. Watch what went down below:
In a post that has since gone viral on TikTok, Ellie Coleman filmed her grandad getting through his meal at Britain's rudest diner while staff hurled insults at him.

At one point he was told to 'f*****g eat it then, I want you to f**k off' by staff and he was also pictured wearing a paper hat with 'old b*****d' written on it.
To make matters worse, the diner started singing 'happy birthday f**k off'.
In a brief review of his dining experience, the 82-year-old said Karen's Diner was 'not my scene', though in comments under the video Ellie confirmed he had a good laugh about it later.

Plenty of people who saw the video demanded to know where it was so they could go and experience it for themselves, while others asked if he could be taken somewhere nicer to make it up to him.
One person commented that they 'want to see him enjoying himself' and another said the grandad was 'too cute'.
More commenters said they'd take their own grandparents to Karen's and give them the same treatment.
In a later video posted posted to her TikTok account, her grandad was shown enjoying an angel slice and telling those who had posted mean comments to 'b******s off', an attitude that would definitely land him a job at Karen's Diner.

Karen's Diner is a theme restaurant that prides itself on good burgers, terrible customer service, and a free drink if your name actually is Karen.
The staff there are under instruction to be as rude as possible, which is probably just an honest picture of what people working in the service industry are actually thinking about their customers.
Part of the fun is that customers are allowed to give as good as they get and snap right back at the staff, as it's meant to provide a bit of stress relief for everyone.

Karen's Diner even encourages diners to 'give it full Karen' and dare them to pull the classic Karen move of demanding to speak to the manager.
