Harry Potter actor Sean Biggerstaff has labelled Jeremy Clarkson a 'rancid old thug' after he made a remark about 'socialists' on social media.
Clarkson posted the controversial tweet on Friday (9 September), in which it read: "Twitter is a handy and constant reminder that socialists are disgusting people."
The tweet brought on an angry reaction from Biggerstaff, to which he replied: "Shut the f*** up you rancid old thug."

The actor, who is best known for playing Oliver Wood in three of the Harry Potter films, was not the only one to criticise Clarkson on Twitter.
One user's comment read: "Long been a fan and supporter of you. Defended you to family, friends and colleagues. Bought the books, watched the programmes – the full lot – and all the time you really are the w****r family, friends and colleagues tell me you are.”
A second added: "A little earlier you were complaining about [an] unpleasant post on here. Now you are joining them.

“Regardless of people’s other posts, it doesn’t seem very sensible or kind to join the worst of them. It smacks of hypocrisy."
Another person added: "You could have just stuck to making TV shows about cars, but no, you had to get mad at people because an old lady died."
The automotive journalist's tweet was seemingly posted in reference to reactions of the Queen's death amongst the left-wing.
