If you want a long and healthy life then you'd better be aware of what you're putting into your body.
Of course, there are the medical marvels who live to be 100 and say the secret was chain smoking cigars and chugging whiskey, but it's very unlikely that you're going to be one of those.
For the rest of us, the food we scoff and the drinks we quaff make a big difference, and you'll likely already have an idea of what's good and what isn't.

However, TikToking cardiac surgeon Dr Jeremy London made a video laying out the four different types of food and drink he reckons you should be avoiding.
Of course, in typical healthy food fashion all the stuff he said you should avoid is really popular.
Fast food
"Most of what's available in fast food chains is 'edible food product', it's not even real food," the cardiac surgeon said.

You surely know by now that most of what you can order at a fast food joint is not exactly going to be part of a healthy and balanced diet, you're there for taste and convenience.
However, it's important to go in fully aware of what you're eating and that it's really not very good for you at the end of the day.
Every once in a while is probably fine, you're not going to keel over with clogged arteries because you had a Big Mac three months ago, but if it's a major part of your diet then you might want a rethink.
Soft drinks
If fast food is top spot on the list, the thing you use to wash it down most of the time takes the second spot handily.

For the record, this applies to 'both diet and regular soft drinks', which Dr London described as 'liquid death'.
That shouldn't be confused with the actual drinks company Liquid Death, who've had Steve-O do some pretty crazy thinks to promote them.
Back on the topic of soft drinks, they are normally packed full of sugar, and if they're not then they've got stuff in them which certain parts of the world have flagged a potential health warning over.
Milk products
Sorry gang, cheese might be delicious and you may pour milk on your cereal every morning but the cardiac surgeon is not happy about it.

He said: "We are the only mammals that drink milk outside of infancy and we drink it from a different species. Think about it."
I have thought about it, and I think I would die a happier man for having eaten cheese throughout my lifetime instead of however much time not chomping on cheddar or working my way through Wensleydale would have bought me.
Alcohol
You must have been expecting this one as whether you scoff or quaff, there's few things riskier than imbibing actual poison, let alone one that impairs your decision making capability.

The doc said that alcohol was 'absolutely toxic to every cell in our bodies', saying that 'even moderate or occasional use' would end up being bad for you.
He told viewers to 'stop actively poisoning your body', but that's a tough thing to ask.
