A diagnosed narcissist has opened up on the nine phrases he would use to manipulate people.
Steven Ingram (@the_bat_wolf) has taken to TikTok to explain what it's like being a narcissist with borderline personality disorder (BPD).
BPD is the most commonly recognised personality disorder in relation to mood and the way a person interacts with others, according to the NHS.

The four main symptoms of BPD are emotional instability, disturbed patterns of thinking or perception, impulsive behaviour and having an unstable relationship with others.
Though symptoms range from mild to severe, depending on the person.
Last year, Steven shared a video on the 'nine common phrases narcissists use to avoid accountability'.

"If you've ever dated a narcissist, I guarantee you, you've heard every one of the phrases I'm about to share with you," he began.
"Narcissists will use these phrases to convince you that you are the problem and not them who really are the problem."
Phrase #1
'You sure do like to argue, don't you? Why are you always starting these conflicts with me? Why?'

"Narcissists will use this one anytime you bring up anything they did to hurt you," Steven said.
Phrase #2
'Why are you always overreacting? Why do you have to wear your heart on your sleeve?'
Phrase #3
'This conversation is over, I'm leaving'.
Phrase #4
'Yeah, I guess I'm just a piece of s**t?'
Phrase #5
'You know what, believe whatever you want because that's what you're going to do anyway'.

'You are f**king crazy. You know that, right? You're f**king crazy'.

At the end of the video, Steven explained: "Now, as a self-aware narcissist, I've used every single one of these phrases. And I can guarantee you, all of the toxic partners I've ever had in my life, and it's been a lot, have used these exact same phrases."
After watching the clip, one viewer recalled their own experience of dating a narcissist, saying: "I would make a point and he would expect to cite the actual calendar date when that happened."
Another added: "He always said I loved to argue. I was never ever trying to argue."
