A woman has revealed the one simple habit she incorporated into her daily routine to help her lose over three stone.

Dils Lee, 28, from Australia, has showcased her body transformation after deciding to overhaul her lifestyle and focus on her health.

Dils admitted she felt her lowest in July 2023 after reaching a weight of 13.7 stone (87kg) and wearing a size 16 in clothes.

While she emphasised that there is nothing wrong with being that size, it had a huge impact on her both mentally and physically.

“It just got to a point where I was sick of waking up and feeling horrible, sore and uncomfortable in my body,” the 28-year-old told news.com.au.

Dils went on to reveal that a post online highlighting the impact of not being active then caught her attention, and inspired her to change the way she lived her life.

She explained: "I had seen a post on Instagram that said if you were not an active person but were with a partner that was active, the inactive partner was likely to die seven years before the active partner.

"This really scared me, because my husband is a super fit and active person and I hated the thought of me not being around because I didn’t take care of myself and my body."

Dils said the post 'completely altered' her mindset and rather than just focusing on looking better, she began wanting to be healthy and 'be alive as long as possible' with her husband.

As part of Dils' health kick, she began walking with a friend to get coffee rather than just sitting in a coffee shop, and she soon found a love for walking.

She started losing weight and after hearing about some local HIIT - high-intensity interval training - classes, she began heading to the gym several times a week.

“I started walking most mornings with my friend to get a coffee. I really loved it," Dils explained.

"Then one day, while we got a coffee on our walk, we met some people that had just finished a HIIT gym class next door and they suggested that we come along. We took them up on the offer," she added.

In six months, Dils lost over two-and-a-half stone (17kg) but then felt she was stuck in a plateau as her weight stopped decreasing.

This prompted her to seek help from a nutritionist, who was able to reassess Dils' nutrition goals and advised she begin a low carb, high protein diet. These changes enabled her to lose a further stone (7kg) and she soon achieved the physique she wanted.

Reflecting on her journey, Dils admitted: “I feel amazing now, I have seen so many positive changes to my health in every aspect.

“Mentally, I am clearer, and I feel I have better strategies to manage my anxiety. I have seen basically all my symptoms of insulin resistance and hormonal imbalances get under control.

“I’m continuing to lose weight each week, my menstrual cycle is now regular, my hormonal acne has cleared and I no longer bloat after every meal.”
