I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but winter is coming.
We’ve already seen the sun set closer to 4:00pm these days, while the average temperature this month is between highs of 10 degrees Celsius and a low of 4 degrees Celsius. And, if that wasn’t upsetting enough, it’s only mid-November.
So, it’s understanding that some people are looking to head as far away from the UK as possible in a bid to find a ray of sunshine, or two.

But it turns out that you don’t need to fly for more than a few hours to find a holiday spot that stays sunny all winter.
In just three hours and 35 minutes, you could be stepping off the plane in a stunning northwest African country with highs of 25 degrees Celsius in November, 22 degrees Celsius in December and 20 degrees Celsius in January. That’s more like it.
Dubbed as a ‘dopamine destination’, Morocco is home to year-round sunshine, as well as bright, bold contrasting colours in its architecture which are said to unlock the ‘feel-good’ hormones we’re all in need of in the winter months.

Psychologist Lee Chambers told On The Beach that ‘dopamine travel’ is a natural follow-up from the ‘dopamine dressing’ and ‘dopamine decor’ that has dominated social media platforms in recent moments, and can help uplift your mood.
“Psychologically, we appreciate the powerful impact of the colours in our environments and how they can activate feelings and emotions.”
Chambers went on to explain how the scenery in stunning Moroccan cities like Marrakech, Essaouira and Agadir can make your mood more positive. Sign us up!

He said: “Morocco provides warm, welcoming oranges alongside colourful villages and awe-inspiring old towns to stimulate a whole range of positive feelings.
“These dopamine destinations ignite and bring to life the inspiring imagery we see nowadays on social media.
“And the best bit; we can get all that and more without having to chase the pricier five-star exclusive resorts, as these colours and aesthetics are waiting for you just a short plane ride away.”

Not only will bright colours and warmer weather be waiting for you in Marrakech, but besides kicking back and sunbathing in your resort and heading to the nearby bustling Jemaa el-Fna market, you can also take a thrill-seeking quad-biking trip in the Jibilets Desert.
With all-inclusive seven-night package holidays starting from £253 per person for departure dates in December, you’ll struggle to look for an excuse not to top up your winter tan in the likes of Marrakech.
