Despite being just 13 years old, Meath native Cillian O’Connor has been entertaining others with his magic for six years and this month his skills were broadcast on the hugely popular show ‘Britain's got talent.’
Facing the judges of Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and Bruno Toniolo was no bother to Cillian who not only got resounding yes’ from all four judges but earned plenty of praise, even from the notoriously demanding Simon Cowell.

Bruno Toniolo, the Italian choreographer was even reduced to tears saying “Why am I crying? You made us cry!"
Meanwhile, Simon Cowell remarked that “There's something really really incredible” about the Irish teen.
In a heartwarming moment shared with the judges, Cillian who was previously diagnosed with autism and dyspraxia said on stage “I've learned that having autism is not a disability, it is an ability.”
"When I was younger, I was unable to interact with people. I felt a bit empty, incomplete. I felt invisible." However, he said magic was "like a light switch" that helped him interact with people.

Cillian’s mum also spoke of her pride in her son. In a post on social media, Elaine Peppard O’Connor said “so glad that people will get to see the Cillian that melts our hearts every day, we love you so so much and are so happy you finally got your dream that you have worked so hard for.”
It was a special moment for Cillian to appear on the show which inspired him to get into magic. In another post online, Elaine wrote “Six years ago our quiet, shy, anti-social, little boy saw a little girl Issy Simpson perform magic on Britain's Got Talent.

It is not the first time that Cillian has earned attention for his magic skills. Three years ago he become the youngest member of the Society of Irish Magicians at the age of just 10.
Clearly, Cillian has enormous talent and is a massive inspiration. Thousands will now look forward to seeing how the Irish youngster gets on in the next round. Does he have what it takes to wow the judges once again? I’m sure he has some tricks up his sleeve!
