Johnny Depp laughed when the court was shown a message he’d sent in which he joked about his penis.
The actor’s nurse Debbie Lloyd was questioned today (18 April) as part of his defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard, which started last week in Fairfax, Virginia.
Alongside the examination of her medical notes, the court questioned Lloyd about a number of text message exchanges between her and Depp, including one in which he apologises for refusing to see her earlier in the day.

The message reads: “Hey sweetheart, I’m so sorry about today. I thought you were Stephen, whom I’m not particularly enthused about for his loss of loyalty and his loss of memory.”
He continues: “He has tried everything to f**k me over as far as travelling with my wife. He also bursts into my f**king house like it’s goddamn Grand Central Station.
“I’m truly sorry if I upset you. If you like you can give me some morphine to see if my tongue and penis touch. All my love, J.”

Depp appeared to chuckle when the explicit note was brought up in court.
Lloyd gave a digital deposition about the March 2015 incident when Depp’s finger tip was sliced off while he was visiting Australia with Heard.
During Depp’s previous libel case against The Sun, Depp and Heard’s teams gave contrasting accounts of how he sustained the injury.

Sasha Wass QC, representing Sun publisher News Group Newspapers, claimed at the time that Depp had thrown Heard against a ping-pong table and pushed her up against a fridge.
However, Depp denied these allegations and said it happened as a result of Heard throwing vodka bottles at him.
Lloyd said when she arrived to help alongside Depp's personal doctor David Kipper, the house was a mess.
One of the rumours she heard was that the Aquaman star had thrown vodka bottles at Depp, although she couldn’t recall who told her the story.
Lloyd struggled to remember details outside of the notes she’d written while treating the couple.

The trial continues as Depp seeks $50 million in damages after Heard claimed she was a victim of ‘sexual violence’ in the Washington Post in 2018.
Despite the op-ed article not naming Depp, he claims the piece ruined his reputation and career.
