Former Love Island winner Kem Cetinay has been described as 'traumatised' after being involved in a horror crash which left one person dead.
On Thurday (4 August) morning the reality TV star was driving in Essex when there was a collision between his Mercedes G-Wagon and a motorbike.
Paramedics attempted to save the motorcyclist's life but were unable to prevent them from succumbing to their injuries and they were pronounced dead at the scene.
A witness to the incident told The Sun they 'feel for him' as they said Kem 'watched someone die in front of his eyes'.
They report that other witnesses said Kem 'did nothing wrong', and that the motorcyclist 'flew about 20ft into the air before landing on the road' when the collision between vehicles occurred.
Police closed off the area to preserve the scene and clear the road of debris from the vehicles, they also confirmed that the 26-year-old had not been arrested.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "Police were called at 11:32hrs on Thursday, 4 August to reports of a collision at Romford.
"Police and London Ambulance Service attended. At the scene a car had been in collision with a motorcycle.
"Despite the efforts of medics, the male motorcyclist was sadly pronounced dead at the scene at 12:04. Enquiries are underway to notify next of kin."
"The driver of the car stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries. He was not arrested."
A representative for Cetinay yesterday released a statement which offered his 'deepest condolences, prayers and sympathies' to the motorcyclist's loved ones.
They said: "Kem was this morning (Thursday 4 August) involved in a road traffic accident close to his home in the Brentwood area at approximately 11.30am.
"Tragically, a motorcyclist died in the collision. Kem has been assisting the police and is being treated purely as a witness to the incident."
"Kem will be making no further comment on this matter aside to offer his deepest condolences, prayers and sympathies to the motorcyclist’s family and friends."
Cetinay has not commented further on the matter since the statement made by his representative on his behalf.
The former hairdresser turned Love Island series three winner has appeared on a number of TV shows since he shot to fame, including stints on Dancing on Ice, Celebrity Masterchef, and Celebrity Hunted.
He also participated in 2022's Soccer Aid and opened a restaurant in Essex.
