Amber Heard has revealed during her defamation trial with Johnny Depp about the time she first properly met Elon Musk.
The Aquaman star revealed in a Virginia court how she attended the Met Gala in 2016 and started chatting to the tech billionaire.
She claimed her then-husband team wasn't communicating with her, so she wasn't able to work out how they were met to attend the glitzy event as a couple.

"Johnny missed a fitting, because it was happening around the date of my birthday party in Los Angeles, but we were planning on going together as Ralph Lauren's guests," Heard said in court.
"So I ended up going by myself. I sat next to an empty place setting for Johnny that they cleared as soon as we realised he effectively stood me up on the red carpet."
However, Elon Musk was also walking the red carpet and they hit it off.

"I didn't recognise [Elon] until we started talking and he reminded me we had met once before," she explained.
"He seemed like a real gentleman. He was really nice. He sat at a nearby table and we got to speaking that night and eventually became friends."
Elon's team has insisted that nothing romantic happened between the pair that night.
According to Page Six, they remained friends until Heard’s divorce from Depp and Musk’s divorce from then-wife Talulah Riley were both finished in 2016.

However, Musk's team has explained how his relationship with Heard was 'infrequent' at the start.
A representative for the Tesla boss said he and Amber 'didn't start seeing each other until May 2016, and even then it was infrequent'.
"Their relationship didn't become romantic until some time later," the rep added.

Heard told The Hollywood Reporter in 2018 that she had a 'beautiful' relationship with Elon Musk.
"We have a beautiful friendship now, one that was based on our core values," she said.
"Intellectual curiosity, ideas and conversation, a shared love for science. We just bonded on a lot of things that speak to who I am on the inside. I have so much respect for him."
However, during Johnny Depp's defamation trial against his ex-wife, the jury has heard that Amber never really loved Musk.

A message exchange from August 2017 was read out between Heard’s former talent agent Christian Carino and the Aquaman star following the news of the actress and Musk’s break-up going public.
In one message, Heard says: “Dealing with breakup. I hate when things go public. C, I’m so sad.”
He replied: “You weren’t in love with him, and you told me a thousand times you were just filling space.”
When asked to explain what he meant, Carino said: “I’m saying, why would you be sad if you weren’t in love with him, to begin with?”
Heard replied: “I know, but I wanted time to grieve and recover in my own time.”
