A heroic Border Patrol agent recalls how he stormed into Robb Elementary during the mass school shooting in Uvalde, Texas.
Jacob Albarado sat down with Fox News’ The Ingraham Angle to reveal how he broke into the elementary school to save his wife, Trish and daughter Jayda after he discovered there was a gunman on campus.
Albarado said that while off-duty, he received an alarming text from his wife, a teacher at Robb Elementary, that said: “There’s an active shooter... Help. I love you”.

Albarado’s wife texted him while he was getting his haircut at a barber near the school.
However, upon receiving the text, Albarado wasted no time and quickly borrowed his barber’s shotgun as he raced to the school.
When he arrived, Albarado told authorities who he was and entered the premises.

"I just announced who I was and made my way toward my wife's room," he said.
"I just saw a whole bunch of kids running out, running off campus, jumping through the windows, cops breaking windows."
Albarado also described that scene as utter ‘chaos’ while trying to evacuate as many school children as possible.
"It was just complete chaos. Everybody was concerned for their child," he recalled.

"I was able to get on campus… I wasn't just trying to save my child, I was trying to get as many people out of there as I could."
His wife managed to flee the school as she and others gathered by a nearby funeral home while they waited for the attack to end.
However, Albarado's daughter Jayda was still inside the school.

She was hiding in a bathroom while the Special Tactical Unit were breaking into the classroom with the 18-year-old gunman and a class full of students locked inside.
With his family now safe, Albarado told Fox News he was extremely grateful for the community's support and small businesses, as many were sending food along with their condolences.
The Border Patrol Agent also disclosed that his daughter is doing well ‘for the most part’.
Despite the brave act, while speaking with CNN Former Secret Service Agent Jonathan Wackrow criticised law enforcement for allowing Albarado to enter the school while other parents were reportedly handcuffed and pepper-sprayed as they urged police to confront the gunman.

But Albarado maintained that he was not only trying to save his family but every child trapped on campus.
Since the mass shooting, the husband and father has created a gofundme to support his family as they recover from the tragedy.
