She vomited multiple times when she realised it was a roach that was trying to bury itself into her head.

A woman has experienced some people's worst nightmare and lived to tell the tale.

Keenan Artelli woke up with a searing pain in her ear and was horrified to learn that it was a cockroach that was burying into her head.

After about 30 to 45 minutes, which included multiple bouts of vomiting, the Georgian woman took herself to a hospital to get the pesky little insect removed.

She's uploaded a TikTok video to show the moment when tiny little forceps go into her ear to remove the roach, which looked like it had embedded itself pretty far into her ear canal.

The video she posted on the social media site has been viewed more than 28 million times and people are understandably horrified about the situation.

One person said: "He’s livin in your head rent free."

Another added: "I would have vacuumed him out at my house before driving to the ER with it in! omg I can’t imagine."

A third wrote: "Broke my ankle running to the pharmacy to buy ear plugs."

Yep, that's straight up nightmare fuel right there.

In an explanation video, Keenan told her followers: “I could feel something in there so I tried to blow pop it out and that did not work.

“The doctor said that roaches cannot walk backwards so I guess he would have just kept going and going until he made it into my brain. I don’t know but it hurt so bad.”

Thankfully, the doctors managed to suction everything out of her ear just in case the roach managed to lay eggs inside her. That is a terrifying image in itself.

Keenan also explained how she gets her apartment professionally cleaned about once a month to ensure insects like this don't find their way inside.

However, she added that because it's Georgia, it's difficult to ensure every single roach is taken out.

The TikTokker said staff at the hospital were shocked when she came in at 4am complaining about an ear ache.

“One of the nurses took a picture of its little leg hanging out of my ear and the doctor was like, ‘Do not show her that, she’ll get sick again'.

“It was actually insane. When they showed me at the end I was like, ‘Ooohh.’”

She posted pictures of her reaction when she finally saw the sucker and safe to say she was absolutely gobsmacked.
