Controversial talking head Piers Morgan's new television programme has seen its audience plummet to pretty much nothing, days after the host bragged about his stellar ratings on Twitter.
.The new talk show aired on the also new, Murdoch-run channel TalkTV. It boasted 316,000 viewers on its launch day, which was fairly impressive.
Now, in new figures reported by The Guardian, it appears ratings for Piers Morgan: Uncensored have slumped on a daily basis.

By Wednesday (May 4), the audience had dwindled significantly, with an average of just 62,000 viewers.
TV critic Scott Bryan summed it up pretty savagely on Twitter: "More people watched a repeat of World's Most Dangerous Roads on Yesterday than [Piers] on TalkTV."
While that is brutal, it's nothing compared to another show on TalkTV.

According to The Guardian, the Broadcasters’ Audience Research Board said The News Desk recorded zero viewers for the first half of their primetime show.
Piers Morgan has thumbed his nose at the ratings board, insisting he doesn't care about such figures, despite tweeting gleefully in the days prior about his own ratings.
"Linear TV increasingly irrelevant to total eyeball potential for a global show like this, especially with younger viewers who don’t really watch TV any more," Morgan said.
News Corp UK has come out in force to back up the controversial host, claiming that clips from Piers Morgan: Uncensored attracted 64 million views on social media platforms and news websites during its first week on air.

That being said, the programme's YouTube channel boasts only two clips that have amassed 7,300 views in total.
Morgan's new show kicked off with an interview with former US president Donald Trump, but it seems that even the controversial ex-US leader may have also turned his back on TalkTV.
Trump said: "Ratings for the Piers Morgan interview with me were great! Unfortunately, after that interview, his show bombed completely because of the fake narrative he tried to portray.

"The fact is, I got a new closeup glimpse at Piers, and he no longer has what it takes. It’s over for him!"
Trump walked out of the interview with Morgan when the host told him the 2020 US Presidential Election had not been rigged.
On Wednesday (May 4), Morgan doubled down, insisting his nightly show was performing well in the ratings when compared with other news channels.
"Amazing achievement for a brand new show on a brand new network," Morgan said. "Lots of work to do, but very encouraging."
