We all thought Scott Morrison and Anthony Albanese were close to throwing hands during these past few debates along the election trail, but one game has the fist fight a reality.
Finally, we get to see the two political leaders go at it in video game form with the new online minigame PM Fighter dropping just before the election.
The 8-bit inspired game gives the user the option to pick between Anthony ‘Labor Pains’ Albanese and Scott ‘Hands of God’ Morrison.

The loading screen has an old-school game-like version of Waltzing Matilda going on in the background to really get you in the patriotic mood.
Much like throughout their election campaign the two men give an inspirational quote on why the user should pick them as their fighter.
Labor Pains Albanese claims: “The Right Honourable Gentleman is going to feel the full force of my election package.”

While ScoMo’s plea, much like his campaign, falls a little short.
He says: “It’s not a race. It’s not a competition. Ok, maybe it is a competition.”
As you click on your character, presumably Albanese, you then get to enjoy doing what most of Australia has wanted to do for the past few years and that’s knock the block off of Morrison for a few rounds.
Honestly, nothing more satisfying then laying in a few right virtual hooks into ScoMo’s smug little face.

The game comes from the Esports betting company Rivalry, which launched its online sportsbook in Australia.
Rivalry CEO Steven Salz commented on the release: “We take a very different approach than traditional betting operators, and have been particularly successful among Gen Z and young Millennials across the globe.
“We are very eager to start building our brand equity in Australia through a series of innovative activations and campaigns as we ramp up services throughout the remainder of 2022. As we do everywhere, servicing and helping to grow the esports and gaming community will be a priority for us.”

The PM Fighter game is a collaboration between Rivalry, Bear Meets Eagle On Fire, T&DA, and Rumble Studios.
Bear Meets Eagle On Fire COO, Micah Walker said: “An election is certainly a fun place to introduce a brand intent on doing things differently. So hopefully people will have a punch and a laugh and maybe even punt on the real thing after at Rivalry.com.
“It’s been a fun project and a big shout out to our friends at T&DA, who’ve really helped a crazy idea come to fruition.”
Now you’ve finished reading this article head on over to the game and enjoy laying in a few to ScoMo ahead of election day.
