Twisties has created a new prototype for a 'mint' flavoured version of the snack.
The new product move came after a Married At First Sight episode on Channel 9, in which one of the 'grooms' told his new partner he had bad breath because he'd just eaten a packet of Chicken Twisties.
Twisties marketing manager, Katherine Twomey, denied Chicken Twisties were to blame for the awkward moment.
"It is of Twisties' opinion that the Chicken Twisties do not give people a stinky breath, however, the iconic snack would never want to stand in the way of true love," she said.
"Over the course of the week, we at Twisties HQ have mobilised to see if we could develop a revolutionary new product that could put an end to the stinky breath phenomenon - we feel Mint Twisties might just do the trick."
Twisties said it was now canvassing public opinion to see if the product had legs as a long-term offering.
Snack aficionados have been encouraged to head to the Twisties Facebook or TikTok to share their opinion.
It's just the latest bizarre stunt from snack and food brands in recent weeks.
McDonald's in China divided worldwide opinion when it revealed a new 'Cilantro Sunday' topped with a bright-green coriander sauce and fresh 'crumbs' of the herb.
Locally, iconic snack Tim Tam created a perfume which retailed for $90, enabling you to smell like the biscuit.
