Two young mechanics have tragically been killed while fixing a broken-down bus.
Lleyton Bartlett, 22, and his 25-year-old colleague were repairing a TransLink bus on the Nambour Connection Road on the Sunshine Coast.
They were struck by a passing sedan as they were repairing the bus, with both suffering critical injuries.

The men were working for a CDC South East Queensland bus company.
Paramedics arrived on the scene and rushed the pair to Sunshine Coast University Hospital, however, both later passed.
Mr Bartlett’s mother, Lisa paid tribute to her son, saying: “Rest in peace my son. Until we meet again. We will hold you in our hearts until we can hold you in heaven.

“With all our love Mum, Dad & Jai Bartlett.”
A heartbreaking message was also posted from the Maroochydore Hockey Club, where Bartlett had played for most of his life.
Michael Asmussen said: “On behalf of the Maroochydore Hockey Club, our sincerest condolences go to the Bartlett family and friends after the passing of Lleyton in that tragic accident at Woombye.
"I know he had many friends among the club, so let's all look after each other."

No one was on board the bus at the time of the accident, according to police.
The alleged driver of the vehicle, a 43-year-old Warana woman was not physically injured and returned a negative alcohol test.
She is helping the police with their inquiries.

Shane Kropp from Queensland Ambulance described the scene to Seven News as ‘chaotic’.
He said: “The patient’s condition was they had what we call multi-system trauma.
“Advanced care and critical care paramedics were on board and treated them accordingly.”
A spokesman for TransLink spoke to ABC News, expressing his condolences to the family and staff involved.

They also confirmed the incident was being investigated with the help of TransLink.
The spokesperson said: "This is tragic news and we send our condolences to the families and staff involved.
"The accident is being investigated by police and TransLink will assist police with their investigation in any way we can."
