Lauren Goodger has announced the death of her baby, Lorena.
The 35-year-old former The Only Way is Essex star shared the heartbreaking news that her second baby had died following her birth on 8 July.
In a statement, Lauren – who also lost her ex-boyfriend Jake McLean in a motorbike crash last week – said that she was ‘broken’, but said there were not any complications with her labour or pregnancy.
Sharing a black and white photo of her holding Lorena’s hand, she wrote: “She was the most beautiful healthy baby I’ve ever seen just like her sister @babylarose.x … words can’t describe as a mother losing your baby that I carried for all these months perfectly and gave birth too for my angel to be taken from me.”
She continued: “She was fine & healthy but I am not going into detail right now just know that there was nothing wrong with her or myself she was perfect I can’t understand it she is so so beautiful Larose twin so similar.
“I am broken.
“I am back home from hospital Me & Charlie [Drury] spent as much time with our baby girl Lorena and I haven’t said my goodbye yet.”
The statement continued: “Larose she is my rock that’s getting me through this or I wouldn’t survive… I will never ever get over this but I will learn how to live everyday with Lorena in my heart she will be with me always and I will be with her again one day…"
She concluded: “My [baby] Lorena I love you so much.”
Lauren has been very open with her followers about her pregnancy, having become pregnant once again just eight weeks after the birth of her first child, Larose
It’s been a difficult journey, too.
Lauren and her former partner Charles Drury split up just after the birth of Larose, but remained on good terms and got back together earlier this year.
However, Lauren admitted that she was ‘scared’ about the short time gap between her two children, but was greatly looking forward to being a ‘hands-on mum’.
Speaking to OK! Magazine, she said that Charles has been ‘really pleased’ to learn of the second pregnancy, but she was ‘really in two minds’ about the whole thing.
She said: “I was like, ‘I’m just getting myself back together – I’m going back to square one. Is this fair?’ You get real mum guilt, like, ‘What about Larose?’
“She’s still a baby, she still needs me, I won’t be able to be there for her.”
