Fitness influencer Liver King has apologised and admitted to using steroids after an email leak claimed his famously muscular body was down to steroids, and not the carnivorous diet he promotes.
Liver King, aka Texan fitness coach Brian Johnson, rose to viral fame by revealing how his incredibly muscular frame was all down to a diet of animal organs, claiming to live off a raw meat-only diet.

But his lifestyle came into question when a leaked email suggested his Herculean physique had something to do with steroids - $10,000 worth of fitness enhancement drugs each month, to be precise.
Johnson has now issued an apology, saying he has 'f**ked up’ and ‘misled’ many people.
Admitting to doing steroids, he explained how previous claims he hadn’t ever touched the drugs was ‘a lie’.

“I’m making this video to apologise because I f**ked up,” he said in a video.
“Because I’m embarrassed and ashamed. Because I lied and I misled a lot of people.
“Before social media I was rich and anonymous and after social media I’m still rich but no longer anonymous and I never expected this kind of exposure in the public eye.
“It’s been tricky as f**k to navigate… Clearly, I did it wrong and I’m here now to set the record straight.

“Yes, I’ve done steroids and yes, I am on steroids monitored and managed by trained hormone clinicians.”
Johnson said he wanted to raise awareness for the high suicide rates among young men who suffer from depression or ‘low motivation’
“Liver King the public figure was an experiment to spread a message,” he said.

Johnson added: “I’ve been on several podcasts and when asked if I’ve ever taken steroids I’ve always said no, I don’t touch the stuff… never gonna touch the stuff.
“That was a lie.”
The online star said he was choosing to take accountability for his actions rather than try and make excuses.
He said: “I continually dismissed it and dug myself into a bigger and deeper hole.

“I have only myself to blame.
“I did that and it was all wrong. I will be better, I will talk about it openly.
“I’m as sorry as a man can be and all I can do is take extreme ownership right now, be better and lead myself to a better life as a better human.”
