An Aussie tourist says he was temporarily left unable to move after eating a cannabis brownie in Amsterdam.
Benjamin Jenner, 25, says he couldn't feel ‘any part’ of his body and felt as though he was ‘sinking into the bed’ after tucking into one of the weed-laced brownies while on a tour of Europe with his pals back in 2018.
A photo of him lying in bed unable to move has recently gone viral on TikTok, racking up 900,000 views.

Jenner, who lives in Melbourne, said: “I had never tried marijuana as a joint or a brownie before as it's illegal here in Australia so I definitely wanted to make the most out of my holidays by trying one.
“I was only told to try a small section but it wasn't kicking in, and because I don't understand limits I naturally just ate the whole thing because it was so dense and nice, which was a big mistake.
“I felt like I was sinking into the bed and the mattress was swallowing me whole. It was so bad. I had my eyes closed and I genuinely could not move any part of my body even though I was conscious.

“I knew in my mind that I was clearly high, but my brain could not register to move any part of my body.”
Speaking about the reaction to the photo on TikTok, he added: “The reaction to my TikTok going a bit viral is so funny because so many people have commented similar experiences.
“It further highlights how much connection and common ground social media can create in such a divided and hostile world we are all trying to navigate.”

And he’s not wrong, as plenty of people commented on his post sharing similar stories.
One person said: “Omg this happened to me too hahahahahaha I swear I was dying.”
While another said they ‘thought they were going to die on the way to the airport’ after trying one of the hash cakes.
Despite the scary incident, Jenner said he would do it again, but has warned fellow travellers to be safe.

"Overall, it was so fun and I would probably do it again,” he admitted.
“To anyone who is looking to try one, please do it in the comfort of your hotel, with comfy beds, and a bathroom close.
“I've read stories of people doing it in public places and that's so terrifying because I couldn't imagine being in a brownie coma in the middle of Amsterdam.”
