Matt Hancock has denied that he visited Turkey at the weekend to get his hair and teeth done.
The politician was spotted browsing some clobber on the streets of Istanbul, sparking speculation he might have been visiting for a makeover, which he has now denied. Watch here:
As you're probably aware, Matty has been attempting to redefine himself following his scandalous tenure as health secretary during the pandemic, and he was recently a controversial contestant on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, finishing in third place.

Given this newfound 'celeb' status, some wondered whether Matty was getting his teeth and hair done when he was filmed in Turkey at the weekend.
Abdul al-Kadiri filmed the 44-year-old browsing in Istanbul and said he was 'either there for a hair transplant or to get his teeth done'.
According to LBC, he added: "You don't go to Turkey for a holiday. Especially at the moment – it's freezing."

The video went viral, racking up 3.5 million views and thousands of comments.
One person wrote: "he took that im a celeb cheque and went straight to turkey."
Another said: "If I don't see matt hancock with a full set of white nashers, a hairline to die for, selling fitness plans by 2024. I don’t want it."
A third added: "Probably trying to barter away the last of the PPE."

However, Matty has since returned from his mysterious trip and set the record straight.
In a video shared with his 162,000 TikTok followers, he said: "I just got back to the office to find a journalist has called to ask if I went to Istanbul at the weekend to have hair transplants and veneers.
"No. I did go to Istanbul at the weekend but this story has no teeth... It's hair today, gone tomorrow."

Do you see what he did there? Very punny indeed.
To be fair, his hairline does appear to still be fully back like Luke Shaw (that's a football joke, not a hair reference), so it seems he's probably not telling fibs, on this occasion... Though perhaps he just went for the initial consultation.
Commenting on his clip, one person said: "Such a jokester Matt."
While another added: "I don't know what's worse, that joke or the whole lockdown situation."
