Missing rugby star Levi Davis’s passport was found in Barcelona’s port area, police have today confirmed.
The 24-year-old vanished on 29 October, just hours after arriving in Barcelona and hasn’t used his phone or bank accounts since going missing, nor has he been in touch with family or friends.
On Saturday (19 November) Levi’s distraught mother Julie Davis confirmed that his passport had been found.

She told the Daily Mail: "This is a very worrying development because you cannot do anything in Barcelona without a passport.
"Besides travel, you cannot book into a hotel or even rent somewhere without one. We know that his phone and two bank accounts have been untouched since he disappeared and so this is another blow. We remain hopeful but there have been no confirmed reports of Levi since the day he disappeared on 29 October and we are becoming increasingly concerned.
"This is the worst feeling in the world not knowing where Levi is. We just hope he is okay and want him home as soon as possible."
Now, local police have revealed when the passport was found.

Speaking today, a spokesperson for the regional Mossos d’Esquadra force said: “I can confirm it was found in Barcelona Port. I am not in a position to give out any more information on exactly where or when it was found.”
When the passport was first found, the force said ‘a lot of work’ was still being done on the case and that officers were keeping an open mind.
The spokesperson said: “At the moment this case is being investigated as a disappearance and a lot of work is still being done.

“We’re talking about a person who could have disappeared for many reasons.
“They could include a voluntary disappearance or otherwise.
“We can’t link it to any criminal act at this stage and we wouldn’t until we were 100 percent sure we are looking at a crime. All hypotheses are being looked at and are on the table.”
The 24-year-old reportedly only had a small backpack with him at the time of his disappearance

He was last captured on CCTV on 29 October leaving The Old Irish Pub and heading north towards Hard Rock Cafe.
The last person to speak to Levi was his friend Richard Squire, who was told by the rugby player that he was going to meet friends in Barcelona and hadn't heard from him since then.
