Piers Morgan has declared himself 'happy' that he's never apologised to Meghan Markle after The Grand Tour presenter Jeremy Clarkson said sorry for comments made about her in a column.
Clarkson had written a column in The Sun where he said he hated Meghan 'on a cellular level' and was 'dreaming of the day when she is made to parade naked through the streets of every town in Britain'.
He then went on to say that people should be shouting 'shame' at her as this happened while they could 'throw lumps of excrement at her'.

Yikes indeed, and there was a massive backlash to this column once it was published, with Clarkson's own daughter among the many who thought he'd gone way over the line as she said she stands 'against everything that my dad wrote'.
Clarkson went on to apologise, describing the language he used in the column as 'disgraceful' while revealing that his employers ITV and Amazon were 'incandescent', and said he had emailed Harry and Meghan to personally say he was sorry.
Harry and Meghan responded to Clarkson's apology, acknowledging that he had said he was sorry but criticised a 'long standing pattern of writing articles that spread head rhetoric, dangerous conspiracy theories and misogyny'.

Citing his other columns, they said unless Clarkson filed many of his columns 'in haste' as he claimed he had done with the one about Meghan Markle it was 'clear that this is not an isolated incident'.
Now Piers Morgan has waded into the mix with a monologue on his TalkTV show Piers Morgan Uncensored about the time he was asked to apologise to Markle, saying he was 'very happy' not to have apologised to her after she 'demanded' it.
He said: "I believe she lies. And secondly, if I did apologise what do you think would happen?
"They wouldn't accept it. She wouldn’t accept it. She would just use it as an excuse to go even harder. It's what they do."

"They are the victims, always. Perennial victims. So I refused and I left and I'm very happy about that otherwise I wouldn't be here doing the show if I hadn't done that."
Morgan is no stranger to having beef with Meghan to such an extent that he criticised her for attending the Queen's funeral despite the obvious fact that she's married to her grandson.
When he was on Good Morning Britain even his own colleagues hit out at him for constantly 'trashing' her, with Morgan leaving the show shortly afterwards.

The presenter was called on to apologise over his reaction to comments Markle made in an interview with Oprah Winfrey where she said she had suicidal thoughts.
Morgan said he doubted this had really happened and declared that he refused to apologise for disbelieving her comments when called upon to do so.
