American pop-star Pink has opened up about not letting her ten-year-old daughter have a phone.
The singer-songwriter told Carson Daly on the US Today Show of the struggles of modern parenting and her reluctancy to let her young daughter, Willow, own a mobile phone.
Pink said, “There’s a light side and a show side to technology in general for adults, as well.”

“For kids, I’m not there yet. I have a 10-year-old who does not have a phone, although she pointed out to me yesterday, ‘You know most of the kids in my class, fifth grade, have a phone’. That doesn’t move my needle. I don’t care.”
The 42-year-old, whose real name is Alecia Moore, is a mother of two and admitted that despite the reluctancy towards access to a mobile phone, she and her husband, Carey Hart, are trying to be flexible when it comes to technology.

“We can’t be dinosaurs ourselves as parents, we have to sort of embrace it and go with it,” she said.
Pink and her motocross husband Hart, married back in 2005 and, along with daughter Willow, also share a five-year-old son, Jameson.
Pink has detailed her love for being a mum to People, saying “They're totally weird and joyful, and I'm loving every moment of it.”
"Even the hard days are a blessing,” she continued.

Pink’s family had been seen regularly on her social media since having her first child but has since reeled it in due to 'hateful' comments.
Talking to Ellen DeGeneres in 2019, she said: “I won’t share them anymore, I won’t do it.”
“I’m not posting pictures of them anymore. I understand people saying you need to be more careful because you are in the public eye and you should have thought of that. And they’re right, but there’s a nice way to say that. There’s a kind way to be online.”
In recent times however, Pink has once again started sharing her family periodically on social media.

It has been almost three years since Pink’s last studio album, however, in April 2021 she confirmed to ET Canada that a ninth full length was on its way.
She said: “I’ve been making music since I was 16 professionally. So it’s just been chapters.”
“If this whole thing will end up being a life story and an experience, each album is a chapter of that. So yeah, it will be where I’m at now.”

In regards to the upcoming album, she continued: "It’s very early days, but I will tell you, it will be very honest.”
