Porn stars share what they think are the most underrated sex positions

Take note, guys

Finding the right sex position can be a very awkward, and even potentially dangerous affair.

There are few things in life less sexy than two people trying to bump uglies while manoeuvring their limbs into ungodly positions. Like some king of x-rated Twister.

One of the main reasons for this is the fact we mere mortals often feel the pressure to spice things up with erotic positions, such as the reverse cowgirl, the 69, and the terrifyingly named anvil, which we have no business attempting.

But don't just take my word for it.

Let's see what the experts, and by that I mean porn stars, who, ya know, do this for a living.

And according to some experienced adult performers, we norms are often ignoring some of the best moves around.

Pornstars are here to tell us about some sex positions that deserve a bit of love.

And there's a couple of positions they think we need to stop doing right now.

"Reverse cowgirl deserves none of the hype," Nova Sky told Mashable. "It involves all the same work of cowgirl, with none of the clitoral stimulation.

"It’s also really difficult to see my partner's face, and the way they react to pleasure — which I really love — in reverse cowgirl."

Agreeing wholeheartedly, Charlie Forde added: "It angles the c**k away from the G spot, too."

Offering some support for the move, though, Avery Jane said that it's pretty good if you can 'figure it out' as it offers a pretty good, erm, view for both parties.

Another position that also received a surprising level of criticism from the pornstars, though, was the old faithful, doggy style.

Reverse cowgirl and doggy style are a huge no-no.

And, to be honest, that's partly why they didn't rate it.

Male performer Joshua Lewis said that, depending on the shape of someone's appendage, it's not actually that useful.

And Kate Kennedy had no time for the 'pile driver'.

"Even porn stars hate it," she said. "Attempting positions that are too advanced or physically taxing not only won't make sex better, it will almost definitely make it worse, and you could seriously injure yourself trying."

But that's enough of the stuff we shouldn't be doing. What positions do we need to start incorporating into our bedroom antics?

Well, the first disrespected move might surprise you.

"Missionary is always labeled as boring," said Joslyn Jane. "It isn't done a lot in porn.

Missionary is an underrated move, according to the adult stars.

"It's also great for a man to get very deep, which can feel amazing for both partners."

Sharing one of her favourites, Kate Kennedy said: "You can explore variations on classic positions like this: I love throwing my legs over my partner's shoulders during missionary for great deep penetration."

If neither of those tickle your pickle, though, how about spooning?

According to those in the know, it's perfect for creating a bit of intimacy.

Singing its praises, Nova Sky said: "Side-to-side spooning doesn’t get enough love. It's got all of the sensation of doggy, but it gives you more freedom to interact with your partner."

But whatever you choose to do in the privacy of your own bedroom, just stay safe. No one needs that kind of trip to A&E.
