Andrew Tate has 11 luxury cars seized by Romanian police after arrest

Romanian police have seized plenty of luxury cars from Andrew Tate after he was arrested

Romanian police say they have seized 11 luxury cars from Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan after the pair were arrested late last year.

According to Insider, Romanian authorities have confirmed that they took the luxury cars to 'sustain the cost of the investigation' and could be used as collateral to fund reparations towards Tate's alleged victims.

Tate was arrested in Romania in December as part of an investigation into human trafficking, with the former kickboxer and his brother apprehended after police raided their home.

Prosecutors claim that Tate, his brother and two other suspects 'appear to have created an organised crime group' which they allege was done for the purposes of 'recruiting, housing and exploiting women by forcing them to create pornographic content'.

No charges have yet been brought against the suspects, though Romanian police were granted the right to hold them for 30 days.

Tate is a fan of luxury cars, and recently bragged that he had 33 of them.

According to Romanian outlet Gandul, the cars seized include an Aston Martin Vanquish S Ultimate, a Rolls Royce Wraith and a Porsche Carrera 4S 911.

They reported that the authorities 'waited for the right moment' to apprehend Tate and his brother as they were 'always out of the country'.

Tate claimed he owned a total of 33 cars during a recent Twitter altercation with Greta Thunberg where he bragged about how much damage they did to the environment.

She hit back that he could contact her about it on 'smalld**[email protected]', with Tate then creating and sharing a video to say Thunberg hadn't got to him.

He was later arrested, with Romania's Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) looking into whether the funds to buy the luxury cars came from human trafficking.

Following his arrest, Tate's account on Twitter said 'the Matrix sent their agents'.

DIICOT released a statement explaining that they had arrested Tate, his brother and two Romanian citizens following allegations that a number of women were trafficked and faced 'physical violence and mental coercion'.

At present six women have been identified by the investigation, which is also looking into two incidents in March 2022 where a woman was allegedly raped.

DIICOT claims Tate and his brother 'recruited' women by pretending they wanted to be in a relationship before having them 'transported and housed' to Romania.

The former kickboxer claims to be a 'success coach' and in the past previously referred to married women as 'property' and said women should 'bear responsibility' for being raped.

Tate previously told LADbible he was 'playing a comedic character' and that his words had been taken out of context.
