A King's Guard breaks royal protocol to allow a man to pet his horse - and viewers were quick to praise the 'beautiful moment' between the two.
The Guard's primary role is to be protection for the royal residence and the Royal Family, but they've become somewhat of a tourist attraction in their own right.

However, sometimes tourists can push the limits and the guards are quick to reprimand them if they get in the way of them doing their job - like one guard who screamed in a woman's face when she got a bit too close.
The King's Guards are also often seen atop horses and as we know, horses can be skittish and unpredictable, so walking up to one and trying to pet it might not a good idea.
And there's been plenty of times where people who have attempted to do so learnt the hard way - sometimes getting a bite in return.
However, in this clip from YouTube channel, The King's Guards, which was uploaded on Tuesday (August 22), viewers were delighted when a guard moved his horse forward to allow a man to give it a pet.

The video shows a young man timidly approach the horse, but he keeps his distance from the animal.
While remaining respectful the whole time, the guard acknowledges this and moves towards the man so he can pet the horse and take a photo with it.
And the young man was left absolutely delighted by the interaction.

The video's caption reads: "What a kind and priceless moment by King's Guard towards a teen!
"Guard looked and saw the man and moved the horse towards him and when the man was done and wanted to go, he repeated, 'Bye Bye' to the guard.
"What a precious moment to witness."
The viral footage has already been viewed over 72,000 times, and viewers were praised the soldier for his 'compassionate' response.

A third added: "That young man's excitement and pleasure was a joy to behold. Such a thoughtful guard."
While a fourth viewer agreed: "Thank you for sharing this moment! Thank you to the guard and for your kind heart toward the young man - you recognized his uniqueness and responded in such a compassionate way!
"He was genuinely discouraged by your lack of 'conversation' with him, however, you found such a kind way to communicate with him and did you see his smile when you did?!? What a bright spot in my day - thanks to all of you!"
Isn't it nice when people are nice?
