Triathlete Alex Yee deeply irritated his rival following their latest match-up on Sunday (18 August)
The Brit won gold at the Paris Olympics in the men's individual triathlon, finishing six seconds clear of the next competitor on 31 July.
But less than three weeks later, many of the same athletes have competed in the first supertri of the year, which was held in Boston, USA - the backdrop for another sporting duel between Yee and his biggest rival, Hayden Wilde.

The Kiwi triathlete came in second against Yee at the Olympics, and looked to get his revenge yesterday - though he ultimately came up short.
The race was the first of five supertri events around the world, with the finale set to be held in Neom in Saudi Arabia.
And 26-year-old Yee carried on where he left off at the games though as he came out on top against Wilde, overtaking him in the final corner of the run section of the race and powering ahead to claim gold in what felt like a replay of their Olympic match-up.

It didn't always look that way though as Yee had a horrible start in transition from cycling to running, but managed to build through the run section as he picked up speed, chasing Wilde down.
At the finish line, he crossed the line just one second ahead of the Olympic silver medalist, and carried out a celebration which didn't thrill his opponent - or a number of viewers - for that matter.
On the home stretch, the Brit checked his shoulder to see just how close Wilde was, and saw that he was going to win yet again.

While crossing the line in first place, Yee folded his arms and stared into the lens of the camera, with Wilde visibly irritated behind him, holding up his arms and frowning in disgust at the celebration.
When he came up short at the Olympics, the first thing he did after finishing was go to Yee to congratulate him on the win, even putting a friendly arm around his shoulder for all to see.
But this celebration from Yee, which continued past the finish line as he nodded and ran towards the camera, wasn't received well by viewers or fans of the sport.

Some took to X to share their opinions on the incident, as one user said: "That sort of behaviour is not on, it ruins the sportsmanship and why we all watch. We need more respect in sport."
Another shared: "Disgraceful scenes everywhere today it's been a nightmare."
However, some think that the Brit is well within his rights to celebrate, with a third adding: "Can celebrate a win however he wants? Seen that celebration loads of times in football. What’s the difference?"
A different user said: "He’s just p***ed it happened to him twice in a few weeks"

A fifth commented about Wilde: "If he doesn’t like it he should probably win next time."
The event win comes after Yee's gold and bronze medal coups at the Paris Olympics this summer.
