Chris Eubank Sr. has addressed the public falling out with his son after he turned up to his fight to support him.
The seasoned boxer was one of the most revered super-middleweight fighters of his time, reigning as world champion for five years, and being unbeaten in the first 10 years of his career.
After finishing his career with a record of 45-5-2, it's fair to say that there was a lot of pressure on his son, Chris Eubank Jr., to live up to the bill.

But in last night's (26 April) bout against Connor Benn, the 35-year-old proved that he too might go down in history, in one of the most entertaining IBO middleweight title fights in recent memory.
After going the distance, Eubank Jr. won by unanimous decision, with all three judges scoring the fight 116-112 in his favour after 12 rounds of boxing.

While the boxer celebrated his dramatic win in the ring with an emotional moment with his father, there was a question of whether Eubank Sr. would actually be at the fight.
Just days before, he claimed that his son was a 'disgrace' and that the Brit could 'never be in his corner' after he smashed an egg on Benn's face in a February press conference.

But just before his son's victory, the 58-year-old addressed his appearance at the event after his comments in an interview with MailSport.
When asked about what made him show up, he replied: "You have your super conscious mind, which is your spiritual mind, and you have your surface mind - your ego mind.
"What you should know is that the super conscious mind was always coming, the surface mind may not have known, but the super conscious mind always knows and it always does the right thing, because it's always graceful and it's always forgiving, it's always noble," Eubank Sr. explained.

When asked about when he was telling his son that he was coming, he said it was 'another story'.

Eubank Sr. then said it was to 'keep everyone in suspense', as to not 'give away the show', as the former world champion cited that there are bad actors and good actors.
He then went on an emotional reflection of his son's journey after being asked if he was involved in Eubank Jr's camp, instead speaking about how proud he was of his son and the 'experience' he had got over the years.
Speaking about the egg incident, he pointed out: "The egg thing he did? Very disappointed.
"But I forgive instantly. Now, he's going to have to always understand that you always have to preach that this is not the way we behave as standard bearers, as noblemen."
Whatever Eubank Sr. was doing, it seemed to work in his son's favour, as he emerged victorious at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday night.

Eubank Jr. and Benn were meant to face off on 8 October 2022, though that fight was cancelled and there was the worry that this fight would be overhyped.
This was not the case.
In an entertaining showcase of the sport, Eubank Jr came out on top, saying following the win: "First of all, I thank the one above.
"I knew I could do that, I just needed someone to bring that out of me and I didn't think that he would be the guy to do that.

"The fact our fathers did it years ago brings out a different spirit into you and that's what we showed here tonight.
"I'm happy to have this man [Eubank Sr] back with me. We upheld the family name - onwards and upwards," he concluded.
