He's one of the biggest sports stars in the world, with millions tuning in to watch his boxing matches.
However, there's one person in Tyson Fury's life who has never watched him fight across his 16-year-career and that's his mum, Amber Fury.
Considering how visible Tyson's dad John and half-brother Tommy Fury are at his fights, it often comes as a surprise to fans that Amber has never been seen at an event with the family.

And, it turns out there's a reason for why Tyson's mum chooses to not watch him in the ring.
Opening up about the relationship with his mother in an interview with the Irish Mirror, Tyson explained that Amber is not a fan of the celebrity lifestyle.
"I looked on Google the other day and there’s not one picture of my mother on the internet. That’s crazy isn’t it?" he said at the time, adding that his mother is a very 'private person'.

He added: “She has never been to one of my boxing fights, amateur or professional and never been in the public eye at all. She’s a private person. That’s her priority, not mine.
"I don’t think it means anything to my mum. She doesn’t care if I’m world champion or not, as long as I’m healthy and happy. That is the only thing that means anything to her."
Tyson went on to explain that his mother has never been interested in money or material wealth, only the health of her children.

“You could give my mother that table full of £50 notes and diamonds and it wouldn’t change who she is, ever," he said.
“Money can’t change certain individuals; nothing can. You could give her the power to run the UK, it wouldn’t matter, it wouldn’t change her.”
Amber was the first wife of Tyson's father, with the couple welcoming three sons and a daughter into the world before their subsequent separation.
While Amber's decision to avoid fame has kept her grounded, it also means she is completely unaware of her son's success, with Tyson making the heartbreaking revelation that Amber 'doesn't fully understand' his achievements.

"To be honest, my mum doesn't fully understand what I have achieved as a boxer," he wrote in his 2019 biography 'Behind The Mask’.
“I took her out shopping one time after the Wilder fight and I was being stopped for photographs and autographs everywhere I went in Manchester and she couldn't understand it.
“I had to explain to her that I was the heavyweight champion of the world and a lot of people had watched me and supported me. That was actually very special.”
