Jake Paul explains awkward reason why he can’t go through a sex ban before Mike Tyson fight

Jake Paul is scared of bedroom issues impacting his fight with Mike Tyson

In the lead up to the highly anticipated Jake Paul v Mike Tyson fight, the brawlers are now talking about…sex?

OK, so it’s actually quite common to go on a total sex ban before a fight.

Tyson Fury and Carl Froch have admitted to enforcing a sex ban before their fights, while UFC fighter Ronda Rousey inclines the other way and has as much sex as possible before hers in a bid to boost her testosterone.

But when Iron Mike revealed that he’s forgoing sex before his fight with Jake on the 20 July, his opponent shared an awkward reason why he couldn’t follow suit.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer is all set to take on the legend himself in Texas’ AT&T Stadium with up to 80,000 people watching from the venue and thousands more from Netflix, who is streaming it too.

The 27-year-old is going to take on 57-year-old Tyson, but it seems like he can’t produce the same amount of dedication to the sport.

After admitting to giving up marijuana in the lead up to help with his ‘discipline’ in the run up to the fight, it seems like Tyson’s following the long-time tradition in boxing that believes forgoing sex will increase his aggression before a fight.

That’s when Jake took to his podcast and spoke about why he couldn’t do the same, and it’s awkward as hell.

He began by predicting what Mike will be like in the ring: "Yeah, he's going to be like really angry and on edge. That's pretty scary.

"Wow, he's going to be like a caged animal just p****d the f*** off."

But it’s not like Jake has never tried a sex ban… it just caused him some ‘problems’ between the sheets.

He shared: "If I didn't have sex for like… if I restrain myself for like two weeks I start having wet dreams because my body's like, 'Get this out!'

"It's not weird, it just means that I'm normal."

He's previously said that his only loss, which was to Tommy Fury was caused by these wet dream issues which is why he now gives himself the opportunity to have sex four days before he fights.

He told the Impaulsive podcast back in 2023: "I f***ed myself - literally - over.

“I don't actually even remember the dream. I literally woke up in a panic, like, 'f***, f***, f***, f*** I was like, 'Oh my god.'

"You have two weeks of testosterone built up and so the reason a wet dream happens is because your body needs to release that energy, it knows in your mind, 'This is not good'. I f***ed myself.

"But yeah it makes your legs weak. For the viewers, that's why it's bad, it makes your legs weak."

That’s…something I’m sure a lot of people wanted to hear.
