England superstar Jude Bellingham has explained the inspiration behind the new 'wolf' celebration he did after scoring in last night's Euro 2024 game.
Last night (16 June) saw the moment England fans had been waiting for as the Three Lions finally took to the pitch in their opening group match against Serbia.
Despite a lacklustre second half, England emerged victorious, thanks to Champions League winner Bellingham scoring the winning goal just 13 minutes in.

However it was the 20-year-old's unique celebration with Trent Alexander-Arnold which caught the attention of fans.
The celebration saw the pair drop to one knee and place a hand over their eyes while bowing their heads slightly.
So what is the inspiration behind this new 'wolf' pose?
It turns out the inspiration behind the pose is actually a pretty sweet gesture, with the Real Madrid star explaining the move in his post match interview.

The pose is referred to as the 'wolf' celebration as it is based off a parlour game of the same name which the squad and backroom staff play together.
"When we play Wolf one of the staff loves that face when he does not have a clue what is going on. That was a little celebration for the Wolf group," he said. For those who have never heard of the game 'Wolf' before, it's pretty simple.
Also known as 'Mafia', the game sees players split into two groups - mafia/wolves and townspeople. The former are tasked with eliminating the townspeople, while the latter have to kill off all of the wolves.
Basically, it's the same idea as The Traitors.

Bellingham went on to reveal that it was dedicated to the England's backroom staff as they 'put in so much work everyday'.
"The celebration was from a game we play called wolf and one of the staff always holds his face like that when he doesn't know what's going on," he explained.
"It's more [of a] celebration for the backroom staff who put in so much every day and they won't receive any awards like this or get to have the moments that we get to have on the pitch.
"But we value them so much and it's important going through the tournament."
Just in case you needed any further reason to get behind the team.

Bellingham's goal celebration wasn't the only thing which caught the attention of fans last night either, with several viewers left baffled to see the players with several holes cut in their socks - with the players having a very practical explanation for this unique look.
