KSI agrees to fight ex-footballer Wayne Bridge with shocking comments at live event

KSI agrees to fight ex-footballer Wayne Bridge with shocking comments at live event

YouTuber KSI agreed to a boxing match with ex-Chelsea defender Wayne Bridge last night (18 January)

YouTuber and influencer KSI has called out former footballer Wayne Bridge for a fight.

The content creator is the CEO of Misfits, a crossover boxing promotion that often features celebrities and non-traditional boxers going at it in sold-out events.

Most recently, Misfits had its first event of the year at the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester last night (18 January), where the main event saw English mixed martial artist, Darren Till, knock out fellow MMA fighter Anthony Taylor in the sixth round.

While Till focused on calling out Tommy Fury and KSI after the fight, the latter had his eye on someone else in the arena for his next bout.

Taking the microphone after the headline fight, KSI addressed the crowd before former Premier League footballer Wayne Bridge made his way into the ring.

As the 44-year-old came face-to-face with the influencer, he laughed, before saying: "Aren't you the guy who let John Terry smash your ex?"

The comments brought on a reaction of jeers from the crowd, as Bridge asked the 31-year-old if he really wanted to go there.

"I'm pretty sure that's what you're known for," KSI said to the crowd, before starting a chant about his ex-girlfriend: "Vanessa, woah, Vanessa, woah, she jumped on Terry's d***, made big boy feel sick."

As the crowd joined in, Bridge stared on, before finally replying: "You want it, you can get it," as KSI seemingly agreed to a fight, saying 'let's do it', before shoving the former Chelsea and Manchester City defender.

Though nothing has been confirmed yet, it looks like we could soon be seeing KSI in the ring with the retired footballer.

You can't deny that it's entertaining, but many fans of the YouTuber have been longing to see him step in the ring with Jake Paul, who has also been making a name for himself in the boxing world, with an 11-1 record.

Paul and KSI have also both faced off against Tommy Fury, though the former Love Island contestant emerged victorious both times via decision.

Users took to the comments to share what they thought about the scuffle, as one said: "Ksi makes fun of Jake Paul for who Jake fights then ksi calls out a former football player"

Another added: "About as predictable as the news at 10"

A third commented: "People were saying KSI is not going on the same route as Jake Paul. Now what?"
