Fans all have same complaint as Lady Gaga performs at Olympic opening ceremony in Paris

Viewers are all saying the same thing about Lady Gaga's Olympic opening ceremony performance.

The American artist popped up in the middle of the opening parade to give us a performance, all sang in French.

However, some Olympic fans were not best pleased with her inclusion and took to social media to share their opinions.

Many pointed out that there were other singers from France that could have been in her place.

Writing on X, one user said: "Does France not have any singers? Why is lady gaga the best choice for singing in french"

Another put: "Personally, I think that having Lady Gaga singing for you when she's not French, is cheating."

A third brutally commented: "I don't know if Lady Gaga sings French or if she sings in Sims language..."

However, others thought that she did alright.

Someone else said: "Okay but Lady Gaga singing in french?! Pretty good honestly. Her accent is pretty spot on."

A different user said: "We got lady Gaga and Zidane at the Olympic ceremony who else is next?"

Though Gaga has already performed, it was reported that she will also perform a duet alongside Celine Dion at some point during the opening ceremony - though they won't be paid for their efforts.

So though the 'Poker face' star has already made a grand entrance to this summer's games, expect her next appearance to be even more powerful.

Prior to the opening ceremony, the torch was being carried around Paris earlier today (26 July), with hip-hop legend Snoop Dogg carrying the iconic Olympic torch for one of the legs.

The Olympic opening ceremony is taking place along La Seine, with athletes from their respective countries bearing their flags as they come in on boats, led by the nominated flag bearer.

Though team GB haven't made their way on the water yet, it was previously announced that diver Tom Daley and rower Helen Glover are to be the flag bearers for the country.

Countries such as Afghanistan, Greece, South Africa, Aruba and several other countries have had their time on the water as they are integrated into this summer's games in front of a thrilled crowd.

Performances following Gaga's included a 'Les Miserables' inspired piece, a heavy metal band, and even a quick feature from the Louis Vuitton brand.
