"It's alright mate, I'm in charge around here," said Martin Brundle to the bodyguard of Kylian Mbappe at today's Monaco Grand Prix.
The big drama from today's (26 May) race came within the first minute as things had to be stopped due to a huge crash.
Red Bull driver Sergio Perez was red flagged after just a few corners as he collided with Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hulkenberg.

The crash was a bit controversial as plenty weighed in on whose fault they thought it was, but the truly concerning collision on the day was between soon to be ex-PSG footballer Kylian Mbappe's entourage and the force of nature that is Martin Brundle.
Formula One even had to introduce the 'Martin Brundle clause' to their grid walks which meant that celebrities taking part aren't supposed to bring security with them, that's how essential Brundle is to motorsport.
However, that didn't stop him from having to bypass one of Mbappe's team with the confident declaration that he ran the show down on the tarmac.

Having reassured the bloke that they'd stepped onto his turf, Brundle asked the footballer if he could provide a quick word.
However, Mbappe didn't seem to be in a talkative mood and said he was 'just here for the race'.
Brundle told the Frenchman that he was 'fast enough to beat these cars down to the first corner', which got a bit more of a response from Mbappe.
"No, no I'm not faster than the cars. I just want to be here like a fan and want to enjoy the moment," the footballer said, and Brundle is nothing if not able to pick up on some subtle social cues.

They parted ways with a bit of gratitude for the chat, and Brundle of course made sure to mention 'your dear friend there' who'd previously been assured that the Sky Sports man was 'in charge around here'.
Brundle knows how to deal with security on the F1 grid, having previously shrugged off a bit of manhandling by staying dedicated to his job.
In the past he's had awkward interviews with Machine Gun Kelly where they didn't manage to pull off an air guitar and air piano collaboration, and seemingly made enemies with Cara Delevingne when she didn't want to talk to him.

He also tried and failed to get Megan Thee Stallion to perform a rap on the grid, and still can't tell who Patrick Mahomes is.
