You don't want to mess with former UFC champion Michael Bisping

Out of all the people you could rob, you pick the wife of a UFC champion.

Retired MMA star Michael Bisping, 45, took to social media to explain how he chased after a man in Paris who stole his wife's bag while they were having breakfast.

You can guess who came out on top on this occasion.

Watch below:

The retired British mixed martial artist, who spent 13 years in the UFC, opened up about the incident in a video posted on X yesterday (1 October).

Bisping was walking through the Hall of Mirrors at the Palace of Versailles while explaining what went down.

"But earlier today, I had to stop a crime. Sitting there having breakfast with Rebecca on the streets of Montmartre in Paris, and some little s**t snatches Rebecca's bag, runs away," he said.

"So I chase after him, get a hold of him, he had the bag already hidden in like a towel.

"Got the bag off him, he didn't speak a word of English obviously.

"I didn't do anything to him.

"Got the bag back, he was s**tting his pants poor guy.

"He was like 'please please please, oh merci merci merci'.

"Anyway, I let him go, turned around boom, just gave him a nice little kick up the a**e, little s**t.

"Anyway, got the bag back, all's good.

"Palace of Versailles very very beautiful, but I'll tell you what it is absolutely packed. Anyway, see you in a bit."

Fans were quick to comment on the clip, pointing out how the robber was never going to get away with it.

"Imagine being gripped up by a one-eyed, cauliflower-eared mob boss looking UFC champion. He must’ve thought it would be his end," one person tweeted.

"Glad you’re both ok and that you got her bag back. Those trail runs and good cardio came in handy," a second wrote.

"Out of eight billion people he picked the a former UFC Champion to steal from lmao. He wins the Darwin Award," penned a third.

While someone else suggested: "Should’ve pressed charges… his next victim might not be accompanied by a professional ass kicker."

Known for his striking ability, Bisping defeated Luke Rockhold to become the first British fighter to win a UFC Championship in 2016.

After his 13-year career, he transitioned to sports commentating, acting, and podcasting.

Bisping's legacy in the fight game continues to live on.
