Jake Paul has confronted Oleksandr Usyk, making him a seriously confusing fight offer.
The Ukrainian faced Daniel Dubois at London’s Wembley Stadium last night (19 July) and added the IBF strap to his WBA (Super), WBO and WBC heavyweight titles.
A solid knockout victory came from Usyk in round five, extending his perfect record as a professional to an impressive 24 victories.
And despite questions beforehand about the future of the 38-year-old’s career, he had a few names of fighters he’d be up for sharing the ring with next as he said ’38 is only the start’.

But those names certainly didn’t include the YouTuber-turned-boxer turned-MMA fighter.
Barely having time to catch his breath and relish in the victory, Paul made his way into the ring to confront Usyk.
The Problem Child had been ringside for the fight and soon shared a video facing off with the champ.
“Congrats to one of the greatest heavyweights of all time @usykaa on a huge win. I respect you a lot. Now we do an MMA match for the world @mostvaluablepromotions,” he wrote on social media, collaborating on the post with Usyk.

But boxing fans seemed more p**sed off by this fight offer rather than excited, as many agreed it was ‘an insult’ to let him in the same ring as the Ukrainian.
Yet, the most confusing thing was Paul’s offer of an MMA fight with a renowned boxer.
“Wait, he’s a boxer, and you’re a boxer, right? Why not errrm box?” one wrote.
A second echoed: “So you box MMA fighters and now you wanna fight MMA against boxers?! Make it make sense. You’re such a pussy mate.”

As a third joked: “Imagine they really fight in MMA and this clown starts wrestling.”
Some do seem to want to see Usyk take on Paul in MMA but plenty agreed: “JAKE PAUL MIGHT BE DIGGING HIS EARLY GRAVE.”
When last night’s winner was later asked about facing the YouTuber, he said: “Jake Paul came to the ring for a face-off. I’m ready to fight with Jake Paul in MMA rules.
“I’m ready but need to rest.”

Paul was full of praise for the fighter as he wrote that ‘Ukraine should be so proud of this warrior’, but his fans still said: “Jake I love what you’re doing but Usyk will eat you for breakfast.”
Meanwhile, Usyk had listed some of his potential opponents as Tyson Fury, Derek Chisora, Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker.
