Tom Cruise lit up the French capital last night to 'pass over the torch' to Los Angeles for the 2028 Games.
The Paris Olympics closing ceremony saw the Mission Impossible star, 62, unleash his inner Ethan Hunt by descending into the Stade de France stadium from the top of arena with a rope.

When the actor landed he was greeted by a queue of people on either side before he made his way to the stage to receive the Olympic Flag.
But before Cruise got on stage, viewers were seriously surprised when a member of the crowd attempted to go in for a snog.
The shocking moment didn't go amiss as people took to social media to voice their concerns.
"How’d that lady almost make out with Tom Cruise on international TV," one viewer questioned, as a second wrote: "Of course Tom Cruise would fly down to the stadium at the Olympics Closing ceremonies.

"That one gal grabbed him and kissed him. LOL!"
However, many were quick to praise the actor for managing to 'dodge it well'.

"He was having none of it!" penned a third.
"He knew just when to deflect!" a fourth said.
Cruise clearly didn't let that extremely awkward moment get in the way of his act after successfully making his way to the stage and driving off on a motorbike.
That's when a pre-recorded segment showed the actor fly over the Atlantic, sky dive out of a plane, as you do, later pinning the iconic Olympic flag on the LA's Hollywood sign.

After the flag was passed it arrived at Venice Beach where the Red Hot Chili Peppers were there to perform their biggest hit 'Can’t Stop'.
Billie Eilish then took to the stage before Snoop Dogg and Dr Dre closed off the beach performance in the most Cali way possible.
Commenting on the LA segment, most viewers said it was 'the most exciting part' of the closing ceremony.

"Los Angeles! Hahaha Tom Cruise, Dre and Snoop…. Is it 1997?" one person commented.
"Thank god the athletes made this a great Olympics, less said about opening and closing ceremony, apart from Tom jumping off the stadium roof, classic Tom."
"It amazes me how people can be negative about absolutely everything. That closing ceremony was really good. The transition to LA was fantastic," someone else said.
