Simone Biles was seemingly furious at the crowd after she missed out on a medal today (5 August).
The US gymnast fell off the beam during her routine today, with the gold medal leaving her grasp.
Although, even with the fall, Biles still came in fifth place for the event.

The most decorated gymnast in history, the 27-year-old, of course, didn’t blame the Olympic crowd for her loss, but it’s still fair enough that her emotions would be running high with all that pressure. She may be the GOAT, but she’ s still human.
But BBC commentators did seem to blame ‘something in the arena’ as cameras focused on Biles.
The superstar regained her composure after the fall to complete the beam routine and earn a score or 13.100.

When she then returned to the seating area for the athletes and rejoined her coach and team, Biles understandably didn’t seem to happy.
She fumed towards the crowd in the arena as it’s reported that she accused them of making unnecessary noises as she took to the beam, as per Metro.

Throwing her hands in the air, it appears she told them to ‘stop shushing’.
“Why are they all shushing? As soon as I’m going they’re like shushing so much,” she continued.
Metro reports that her USA Gymnastics teammate Sunisa Lee said: “I don’t know why, are they [the Olympic gymnastics organisers] telling them to?”

It seems the BBC commentators were a little taken aback by it too as Craig Heap said he’s ‘never seen Simone Biles look so angry’ in his life.
“She was not happy. Something has gone on in the arena,” he said. “Simone is not happy at all. It just goes to show she is a human being. All the other ladies in that final have made mistakes. She’s not invincible.’
And fellow commentator Matt Baker clarified: “She’s talking about the atmosphere. She’s talking about shushing.

“The feeling in here is like a cauldron when the gymnasts are on. Oh my word.”
The spotlight has very much been on Biles for her big Olympic return this year with celebrities having flocked to the arena last week to watch her, including Snoop Dogg, Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga and Tom Cruise.
She'll return to the arena later this afternoon for the floor final.
