Simone Biles war of words with one of her former Olympics teammates has blown up on social media, with the gymnast's NFL star husband getting involved as he passionately backs his wife.
Biles' time at the 2024 Paris Olympics has seen her win another gold medal, as well as her first ever silver in the summer games. With a whopping 30 World Championship medals to her name and five Olympic golds, she is the most decorated gymnast in the history of the sport.
But Biles' time away from the gymnastics hall at Paris' Bercy Arena has seen her enter a war of words with a former Team USA colleague and Olympic silver medallist, MyKayla Skinner.

Biles won gold in the Paris Games in the team event alongside Suni Lee, Jordan Chiles, Jade Carey, and Hezly Rivera.
And it is opinions from Skinner, fired at her teammates, that have started the online feud.
In a now deleted YouTube video, Skinner said: "Besides Simone, I feel like the talent and the depth just isn't like what it used to be. The girls just don't have the work ethic."
Skinner's comments didn't go down too well, with her soon deleting the video before apologising.

"It was not my intention to offend or disrespect any of the athletes or to take away from their hard work," she said in a follow up video on her YouTube channel.
Biles took the initial insult to her teammates to heart, backing them in her own social media posts. Posting a picture of the five of them celebrating gold, she wrote: "Lack of talent, lazy, Olympic champions."
And her NFL star husband also got involved in the row, backing his wife and her teammates with a no-nonsense response.

Biles is married to Jonathan Owens, who plays for the Chicago Bears following stints at the Green Bay Packers and Houston Texans.
Backing his wife like any decent husband, Owens was having none of it, commenting on Biles' post: "F AROUND AND FIND OUT."
Owens cheered on his wife from the stands during the gold medal win, wearing a t-shirt with her name and face all over it.

UFC legend Ronda Rousey also backed up Biles, posting six clapping emojis. Rousey had been a big supporter of Biles back in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics when she withdrew due to having the 'twisties' - which is where an athlete loses their orientation in the air.
Biles has now seemingly been blocked by Skinner on Instagram.
Posting a picture of Biles' phone with her on Skinner's account, the image on teammate Jordan Chiles' Instagram Stories shows her account is not available to Biles despite it being open to the general public.

"Ooops I've been blocked," Biles posted on X alongside a crying laugh emoji and side-eyes.
