Two people have been killed in a shooting in central Brussels ahead of the Euro 2024 qualifier match that sees Belgium vs Sweden this evening (16 October).
Videos circulating on the internet show a man shooting a large weapon several times near a station believed to be near the Boulevard d'Ypres in central Brussels.

It was later reported that the gunman, who used an automatic rifle, fled the scene.
Belgian broadcasters have said the two victims, who were reportedly 'wearing football shirts', were Swedish.
Police said officers arrived soon at the scene and sealed off the immediate neighbourhood. Spokeswoman Ilse Vande Keere declined to expand on the circumstances of the shooting.
A spokeswoman for the Federal Prosecutor's office said an investigation has been opened but did not speculate on the gunman's motive.

At the time of writing, the Belgium vs Sweden score is 1-1, with kick off having started at 7:45 UK time.
It is unclear whether or not the match will be halted.
