Tyson Fury had an eight-word response after John Fury appeared to headbutt a member of Oleksandr Usyk’s team.

In a hotly anticipated fight, the Gypsy King is finally set to face the Ukrainian boxer on Saturday (18 May).

Set to crown the first heavyweight champion to hold all four major belts since 1999, the pair were supposed to fight back in February, but it was postponed after the Brit sustained a cut during sparring.

And as the weekend’s fight in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, edges closer, it seems tensions are already pretty high.

Earlier today, during a media event, Tyson’s dad John ended up with a bleeding forehead.

It’s widely reported that shouting could be heard between the two camps with various videos circulating of a member of Usyk’s team going face-to-face with the dad.

And then, as chanting of ‘Fury’ and ‘Usyk’ built up on either side, it’s said John landed a headbutt on one of the opponent’s team members.

Boxing News senior reporter Declan Taylor, wrote on social media: “Scenes at the media day as John Fury, bleeding from the face, shouts ‘Furys never run’ after an apparent altercation with a member of Usyk’s team. Mental.”

And then, came Tyson’s pretty hilarious and simple response to John’s bleeding head.

Taylor continued: “Tyson Fury, who had been in a side room doing an interview, comes out, takes one look at his dad and says: ‘What’s happened to your head, you silly c***?’”

Security got involved to keep the two sides apart as The Mirror, who were on the scene, added that John lashed out at Usyk's promoter, Alex Krassyuk, as he said: "We can't be beaten, anywhere we go. We are spartans, let's f***king go.

"Yous will get it, I live for this s**t. Blood, guts and horror. I live for this s**t."

The actual fight is set to take place on Saturday at 11pm UK time, at Kingdom Arena with the weigh-in at 7pm on Friday.

You can catch it on DAZN (first month free and then £24.99 per month) and TNT Sports via discovery+ (£30.99 per month).

Derek Chisora, who fought both Fury and Usyk, has given his prediction.

He said: “I don’t know. I was with Usyk this afternoon because we love the same Russian sauna so we were together.

“It’s a short camp for both fighters. By the time they get into the rhythm and try and get everything right its going to be hard, there’s going to be injuries.”

Chisora added: “There’s already signs, they already postponed it. Both men will train hard, so who knows man. It’s hard to call. Tyson has to gee himself up now. His last fight was not a good fight man but he won, he won that fight, simple.

“I said he was going to get knocked down and come back and win the fight. I think that burst some of his bubble. Sometimes you can have a bad day but in boxing, you can’t have a bad day and win the fight.”

LADbible has contacted John and Tyson Fury's team for comment.
