Stanley Johnson has spoken out about the possibility of Boris running for prime minister again.
After wilting away in just 44 days as British PM, on Thursday 20 October, Conservative party leader Liz Truss announced her resignation.

Boris Johnson may have left 10 Downing Street with a cloud over his head - exposed for splashing the cash on flat renovations and found guilty of breaching lockdown on multiple occasions - however, the 58-year-old is expected to run in the upcoming Tory leadership contest in a bid to become prime minister again.
Johnson's father, Stanley, has since addressed reports as to whether it'll be out with the old and in with the... old?
On Good Morning Britain today (21 October), presenters Adil Ray and Kate Garraway questioned Stanley over whether Johnson's 'head is in a place' where his father could see him coming back.

While admitting he couldn't confirm Johnson's exact movements, Stanley stated: "Look I think he's on a plane as I understand it.
"Coming back? He is coming back from wherever he is."
However, whether or not Stanley will be voting for his son is apparently not set in stone.
"This is what I think. I'm going to listen to what the candidates have to say. [...] I will listen to all of them. And I will say, okay, I think I'm going to support Boris, I'm pretty sure I'm going to support Boris.

"But I want to be sure that he's going to stick to the 2019 manifesto and I particularly want to be sure - because I'm an environmentalist - that he gives a very strong promise not to proceed with Rees-Mogg's absurd bill," Stanley explained.
When questioned why he should get to vote over the rest of the public and asked whether he supports the idea of a general election being held, Stanley dismissed the idea.
He said: "I think not at this point because if Boris is the candidate, he can maintain, I think quite plausibly, he [...] is now carrying forward the manifesto of 2019."

While Ukraine is in full support of Boris returning as leader of the UK, some members of the Conservative party have threatened to defect if Boris returns.
Stanley resolved: "I don't think Boris went quietly as I recall, he said, 'Hasta La Vista'.
"[...] I've said it before, and I'll say it again, there was unfinished business."
