Stephen Graham has opened up about his mum's passing after receiving an OBE from King Charles.
In King Charles III's first New Year Honours List, Line of Duty actor Stephen Graham was appointed an OBE (Order of the British Empire) for his services to drama.
The 49-year-old has since taken to social media to speak out about receiving the award and to dedicate it to his mum.

In a post to Twitter, Graham wrote: "This incredible, inspirational, woman & the purest heart my mum passed away.
"Her words as a child 'no one is above you and no one is below you all are equal' have remained with me throughout my life.
"I feel so honoured and proud to share this with her An OBE for both of us mum."

Fans have flocked to the post in support of Graham to congratulate him on his award but also to offer their condolences.
One said: "Sorry to hear about your mum she would be so proud to have a son like you the greatest actor to grace our screens and truly deserves every honour bestowed upon you."
"My deepest condolences, mate to you and your family. I'm sure your ma was dead proud of you, as we all are. You've done this city proud with your work," another wrote.

A third echoed: "Sorry for your loss matey and a huge congratulations for being awarded your OBE. Your mum like all scoucers are very very proud of you."
A final said: "She can rest knowing her son is one of the best actors ever! This is my own opinion, I doubt I'm alone there! All the best mate."
