Ora, 31, and Waititi, 46, who have been dating for around a year and a half, are rumoured to have gotten engaged, according to The Sun, and Schofield received a unique response from Waititi.
"Are there wedding bells..." asked the ITV host before he got interrupted by Waititi, who then reached for his ear piece and chucked it across the room.
"You're breaking up," Waititi joked.
Evans also saw the funny side and, shortly after, they felt it was a good time to end the interview.

One person wrote on Twitter: "That interview with @TaikaWaititi and @ChrisEvans was so awkward.
They added: "Imagine ending it by trying to ask about Rita when they’re promoting a film, no wonder he pulled his ear piece out."
Another commented: "Taika waititi out here avoiding any talk about his relationship."
Well, a source from The Sun has claimed the couple have already started planning their wedding.

They said: "This isn’t about them doing a big showy thing and crowing about it beforehand. It’s just about them being in love and deciding the time is right to formalise their relationship. They couldn’t be happier.
"They didn’t do a whole, ‘Will you marry me?’ thing and an Instagram post."
The insider added: "There’s no ring or big build-up. They just got closer and closer and eventually said to each other almost simultaneously, ‘I want to marry you.’ It’s actually really romantic and just exactly the way they are together."
Ora is currently serving as a coach on The Voice Australia, while Waititi is in working on a number of movies of his own.

They continued: "So the plan is to marry abroad, as soon as their respective projects end, with their closest friends and family around them.
"And then there will be a big celebration in London at a later stage, when they get the chance, with all their famous friends there.
"But for now it’s about getting down the aisle and making things official. There are a few details to iron out, but it’s coming soon and it’ll be beautifully intimate and perfectly them."
