One of the most well-known ethical hackers out there has shared some of the 'horrible' things that he's witnessed in the darkest corners of the web.
It's something that we try to stay away from, but the scary reality is that the dark web is real and used by several people for one reason or another.
Known as a haven for crime, it's well-known by many that a lot of thieves and predators like to do their work through hacking or the dark web to get what they want, and not many people know how to combat the issue.

A self-described 'Serial Entrepreneur' and 'Child Safety Warrior' on Instagram, Ryan Montgomery is known for protecting and warning unsuspecting internet users from the dangers that can come from the dark web.
The professional cyber security specialist has over 931,000 social media followers, so it's fair to say that a fair amount of people listen when he has to speak.
The 'ethical hacker' has revealed what it's like to be on the dark web, how to stay there and what vile things he has witnessed while exploring the depths of it.

Montgomery has previously revealed how you can be safer with your sensitive data and prevent yourself from being hacked with five simple steps, but he has now spoken about browsing the bizarre dark web and what he has seen.
"Once you're connected to the dark web, TOR, the onion router... you still need to know where to go to visit these horrible websites and they're like a very long string of letters and numbers and the website instead of dot com it'd be dot onion," he explained.
'TOR' or The Onion Router is an 'open source project' that 'decentralises' your internet traffic according to the hacker, keeping you anonymous 'beyond a VPN', essentially allowing you to do what you want, untraced.
He went on to explain that you can't visit said websites in a normal browser, revealing where you need to go to see the true atrocities of the internet.

"You could go to a thing called the hidden wiki and the hidden wiki will show you all different categories of these websites with a link to them and there's marketplaces, there's horrible things on there for kids," Montgomery admitted.
He continued: "Even like murder for hire, there's counterfeit money, there's fake IDs, you know they're all kinds of different websites that do horrible things."
YouTube users took to the comments section to praise the hacker for sharing his knowledge with us and protecting children online.

One commented: "Just goes to show you don't need to be a delta force or seal team member to be an absolute badass. Respect."
Another added: "I can't even imagine the horrific content these hackers have to endure just to catch these perverted pieces of filth. I'd definitely need therapy."
A third said: "I pray for this man to have protection and pray he has peace of mind-after what he has seen. I bet it was more disturbing that no one wanted to do anything about it."
The lesson here is to stay off the dark web at all costs.
