Exclusive swingers club forced to change strict entry rules after receiving backlash on size of women who can enter

The Australian swingers club faced a backlash after demanding that women be a certain size to enter

An exclusive swingers club in Australia has been forced to change its strict rules on entry after a backlash over its size requirements for women wanting to get in.

The Monkey Club says it's 'simply the best' swingers club in Australia, though one would assume that most swingers clubs would probably be tooting their own horn on their own website as well.

It wouldn't be very encouraging to go on a swingers club website and see them admitting that they're not that great.

Anyhow, The Monkey Club is located in Melbourne and declares itself to be 'the only venue in Australia with a genuine screening process'.

However, it's this process which has landed it in a bit of trouble as it's now changed its entry rules a bit in response to a backlash over size requirements for people hoping to join in with the fun.

If you want to get into this club then you'd better be aged between 21 and 35 and be willing to send in photos of yourself in your undies holding up something with the current date for judgment.

Nothing that blocks your face like sunglasses are allowed, while you're also on your honour not to suck in your chest to deceive the photographer.

However, this is where The Monkey Club has been forced to change its rules as according to The Herald Sun the rules used to require women to be between size four and eight if they wanted to be part of the club.

This was met with a backlash which has resulted in the list of requirements being changed by the swingers club, as on its website it now says that women 'must be within the 8-12 size range'.

The rules for men wanting to join The Monkey Club are also still pretty strict, as while there's no specific size they've got to be the website states 'NO EXCESS WEIGHT AROUND THE WAIST OR STOMACH', and you know it's serious because it was put in all caps.

Men wanting to get in must be 'slim or athletic or muscular', and like the women they've got to submit a picture of themselves in their undies with their face clearly visible and holding up something with the proper date on it.

Size requirements for The Monkey Club may have been altered a bit but this stuff still isn't allowed.

If you reckon you fit these rather demanding requirements and have been wanting to try out the Melbourne luxury swingers experience then it's time to check out the price list.

Couples (on its website it says it expects this to be a guy and girl) wanting to sign up will need to fork over AUS$150 (£81) to get into an event, while single guys have got to pay extra and shell out AUS$180 (about £100).

Let's face it, there are far more expensive luxury swingers parties going on around the world.

Single women who pass the vetting process pay an entry fee of AUS$80 (around £45), and the entry fee includes nibbles, as much water as you need and access to a mandatory pre-swingers party shower.

Guys showing up should be dressed in 'smart casual', while women aren't allowed to wear jeans.

Bringing your own alcohol is allowed, but red wine is expressly forbidden.
